Our role as conservation
advisers for many of the best examples of decorative
masonry in the country has ensured that we have a sound
knowledge of traditional techniques of both carving,
stone cutting and repairing of masonry.
As we are often the chosen specialist contractors and
consultants for masonry conservation in all regions
of the UK and at times abroad, we are well versed in
regional stone, whether it be limestone, sandstone,
marble, granite and alabaster.

As statuary conservators, Cliveden has seen many of the techniques
that we developed over the years be applied to masonry work.
Our published work on the conservation of amongst others
of Gandharan sculptures, restored antique statuary and 17th
Century masonry construction lends authority to our services.
